Last night we went along to Guts for Garters in Camden Town for the preview of the new exhibition Surreal Women, curated by duo Rachel Chudley and Cassie Beadle (you may remember the Courtauld graduates from their last topical exhibition, The Royal We).

 

Celebrating the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Surrealist movement, the show is a feast of curiosities, including special commissions from Grayson Perry, archive pieces from costume designer Petra Storrs – as worn by Lady Gaga and Paloma Faith – photographs from Wendy Bevan, and vintage fashion from Ossie Clark, Alexander McQueen and milliner Noel Stewart, as well as work by younger designers such as jeweller Della Reed.
